Bishnu Prasad Rabha is considered a doyen of the culture of Assam. On the occasion of the Death Anniversary of the Maestro on 20th June, 2021, Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti adopted the digital mode to commemorate such a great personality.
The students of the Department of Assamese, performed songs composed by the Kalaguru and enacted dance performances on the same. Renowned Ghazal singer Mr Anirban Das was the Chief Guest and Srijani Bhaswa Mahanta was the Alumni Guest to grace the occasion. Mr. Das and Ms. Mahanta also, enthralled the audience with their renditions of Rabha Sangeet. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Dr Diganta Halder lauded the efforts of the students and teachers of the Department.
