In order to develop dramatic skills and promote acting ability among the students, SBGJ organised its Annual Inter- House One Act Play Competition on 27th May,2022.
Four plays were staged: Tejimola by Laksminath Bezbarua, Swami and friends by R.K.Narayan, Mahasweta by Sudha Murty and Puratan Bhritya by Rabindranath Tagore. Vayu House was adjudged the winner and the Jal house won the runners up position.
The judges for the event were Saikh Md. Sabah Al Ahmed, eminent poet, lyricist and columnist from Assam and Srijoni Mahanta, research scholar at JNU and visiting faculty at Ashoka University. Both the judges were overwhelmed by the brilliant and flawless performances of the students.
The Principal, Dr. Diganta Halder in his speech appreciated the efforts put up by the students and laid stress on the importance of dramatics in building up skills and overall grooming of children in their formative years.
