The event Annweshan 2023 started with the playing of the Borkaah and lighting of the lamp, followed by an inaugural dance recital, Krishna Vandana. Chayamoni Bhuyan, Senior executive editor, News live, was invited as a Chief Guest to honour the event with her presence. Her insights offered new perspectives, broadened existing beliefs, and undoubtedly expanded horizons. There were 17 schools participating in the debate competition and news reading competition. The judges of the news reading competition were Mridusmita Bhuyan, Journalist, DY365 and Mitu Rani Das, Journalist, DY365 and the judges of the debate competition were Mr. Rajdeep Mahanta and Mr. Nabarun Kashyap. The judges graced the occasion with their presence. Both segments showcased the impressive abilities of the young participants and highlighted their dedication to honing their public speaking skills.
Srimanta Sankardev Academy bagged the best school award.
Further, the Principal, Dr. Diganta Halder lauded the efforts of the students and the teachers of the Assamese department and congratulated the winning schools as well as all the participating schools for their scintillating performance.
Special acknowledgment was extended to, Dr. Diganta Halder, the Principal, Ambarish Siddhant, Administrative Officer and Shilpa Singh, Public Relations Officer, for their instrumental leadership in the remarkable success of the event.
Moreover the event, Annweshan 2023, at Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati aimed to promote critical thinking, communication skills, and awareness of current events among the participating students.
