Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati, proudly organised the CBSE Sahodaya Inter-School Creative Writing Competition, 2023-24, as part of the Sahodaya Sports and Literary Festival, 2023-24, under the auspices of the CBSE Sahodaya School Complex, Guwahati Chapter. The event took place on the 2nd of November, 2023, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from fifteen schools in and around Guwahati, with approximately 150 students showcasing their creative talents.
The competition featured a diverse range of creative writing genres such as essay writing, poem composition, limerick writing, monologue writing, comic strip creation, and pictorial story crafting. Students demonstrated their literary skills, presenting captivating narratives and innovative storytelling in these categories.
Mr. Ayaan Halder, an author and legal scholar, along with Mr. Rishvik Chanda, a faculty member from the Department of English at South Point School, Guwahati, served as distinguished judges for the event. The award for the best school was presented to Army Public School, Narengi.
This event not only fostered creativity but also provided a platform for students to express themselves through the written word. It was a resounding success, promoting a love for literature and creative expression among the young minds of Guwahati.
